Jerrabomberra Wetlands Guided Walk

Jerrabomberra Wetlands Nature Reserve is one of ACT’s most valuable wetland habitat areas. It is located on the Molonglo River floodplain, only four kilometres from Canberra’s City Centre. These Wetlands are of national and international importance as a refuge for migrating birds from the northern hemisphere and inland Australia.

Friends of Jerrabomberra Wetlands is a community group hosted by Inner-South SEE Change. We contribute to Parkcare and Waterwatch at the Wetlands, and act as advocates and ambassadors for the well-being of the Wetlands.

Saturday 2nd February, we are celebrating World Wetland Day with a ranger-guided walk followed by refreshments and questions. We would love you to come along and enjoy.

ACT Government has produced a new Management Plan for the Jerrabomberra Wetlands Nature reserve and has appointed a Board of Management to oversee its management. The Board and ACT Parks have started a Friends of Parkcare group to help undertake a variety of roles to assist with this work.
