What is Happening:
Woden SEE Change invites you to attend a skill sharing workshop and practical working bee…
Do you love a tasty omelette on a frosty winter morning or perhaps you love the sound contented chickens make as they forage in the grass? Do you want to make your life that bit more sustainable or just want to avoid having to buy eggs from companies which may or may not treat their hens to a free range lifestyle?
Join Woden SEE Change as we learn from each other about different chook shed designs and building techniques. You’d be surprised how many people have given it a go and would love to share their ideas. There will be small group learning and for those keen for a more hands on approach, the chance to help build a chook run and shed!
For participants wanting to get ‘hands on’ please think about bringing:
· Garden gloves;
· Sturdy shoes (older if weather has been wet recently);
· Eye protection; and
· A hammer or cordless screwdriver/drill
Car pool, come by bike or walk to show your support for a more sustainable Canberra!
Cost: Free!
