Tick Tock Type…Wear a little piece of history…

Tick Tock Type is a Canberra based business that makes beautiful and unique jewellery using items from the past. Vintage typewriter keys, watches, cash register keys, spoons, sheet music and dictionaries are all recreated to become beautiful, wearable pieces of history.

“Our range is constantly evolving so there is always something new to discover..” says designer and business owner Tamsin Rushbrook.

”Our designs capture a part of the past for you to enjoy now and into the future… it’s always fascinating to think who might have used that item before and what their life was like. In addition to keeping that little piece of history around for a bit longer, it also helps our planet by keeping these items out of our landfill!”

The Tick Tock Type range includes pendants, brooches, rings, earrings and bracelets for the ladies as well as a diverse range of cufflinks for men.

Tick Tock Type sells through the Old Bus Depot Markets, the Canberra Handmade Markets and often pops up at other boutique markets around the country. You can visit them online at www.ticktocktype.com.au and  on facebook at www.facebook.com/ticktocktype.

You will find Tick Tock Type at the Old Bus Depot Markets for Green Savvy Sunday on Sunday 16 August 2012.
