SEE Change Inner South Presentation Series

An afternoon in a Yarralumla garden exploring the different kinds of bees in Australia, what they look like, where they live, how to identify them, their social structure, how to look after them, and how to encourage them to live in your garden.

This will be an informal, but hopefully informative gathering to:

  • Understand the difference between social bees and solitary bees
  • Learn how to identify some of the more common native bees
  • Observe native solitary bees under a microscope
  • Examine a native stingless bee hive
  • Taste some native stingless bee honey
  • See some examples of solitary bee homes for your garden
