What is Happening:

Monaro Landscape Connectivity (MLC) aims to improve the condition, extent and connectivity of patches of native vegetation across the Monaro region, in the Murrumbidgee catchment area. Interested land managers can also be involved in the application of Indigenous land management practices on their property and participate in digital PlaceStories™.

The project is funded from the Australian Government Caring for our Country program, and is being delivered through a partnership between the Murrumbidgee Catchment Management Authority (CMA), Kosciuszko to Coast (K2C), and Murrumbidgee Landcare Incorporated (MLi).

Please come and meet with those involved in this initiative at the Numeralla Folk Festival Markets on Sun 29th January between 1pm—4pm.

If you have any questions about project eligibility or would like to express your interest in becoming involved, contact: Felicity Collins, Murrumbidgee CMA

Where is it On?:

The village of Numeralla, which is situated at the junction of the Numeralla and Badja Rivers, 22km east of the town of Cooma in south eastern New South Wales.
The main route to the village is from the Monaro Highway. If you are approaching from Canberra, turn left just after M & T Motors about 4km north of Cooma, then left at the first crossroads just after the railway crossing. Once on this road, go straight ahead for 20 km and you’ll be in the village.
There are other routes by which to approach the village. All involve stretches of unsealed but sound road. Petrol is available in Cooma and Braidwood.

Please drive carefully – watch out for wildlife on the road, particularly at dawn and dusk.

See a map here.
