Home Aquaponics in Canberra

The Environment Centre is running a workshop introducing aquaponics: a sustainable way to produce food that combines fish and vegetables in a no-waste, integrated system. The workshop will teach you the basic theory and get on the path to setting up your own system. It will be presented by Ricky Somerville, and will include a tour of the amazing system Ricky has set up in his home here in Canberra. If you want to know more have a look at this recent article about Ricky from the Canberra Times: http://www.canberratimes.com.au/act-news/pushing-the-boundaries-of-selfsustenance-20130129-2dhx1.html or check out Ricky’s YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8Lfd_iWIJc.

If you want to sign up for the workshop go to http://www.ecoaction.com.au/events/introduction-to-home-aquaponics/.

It’s on Saturday 2nd March, 3 – 5 pm. Location is the Environment Centre across from the National Museum.
