I dont know if any activities or events are planned for Canberra but that doesnt mean people cant make their own plans or small contributions. 

However, is it as simple as not using the car for the day?  Perhaps it might be a good day to find out about other transport options or raise the issue of public transport with government. Again. 

I'm about to look at your map of cycle paths. What a great resource.

I think it's a good idea to see what level of interest there may be in organising an event in Canberra for World Car Free Day.
