Have you seen the latest electric car from BMW?!
Check it out at :

http://evobsession.com/bmw-i3-…..over-time/

I think targeting the luxury car market is a fantastic idea. More people in
this market will be able to afford an electric car. How great will it be if
electric cars become the next 'must have' thing for all well to do people ?!

from Earth – The Operator's Manual earththeoperatorsmanual.com
The world's most popular EV has just reached a milestone. The Nissan LEAF has now sold 100,000 vehicles, and is picking up momentum quickly. Will 2014 be the year you go electric?

Yes, Cindy, this is great news, as is the news that the price of electric cars is going down. This will start to make it much more appealing for people to buy an electric car.

As the range of electric cars increases, this will also make them more attractive to people.

It's great to hear that France is planning to end sales of diesel and petrol cars by 2040:

So much is happening now with the range of electric cars increasing dramatically while the cost of electric cars is going down.

I've been checking out what is already available in Australia, because my 19 year old car needs major repairs, and we still have a bit of a wait.

It seems that it might be 2018 before the more affordable and longer range electric vehicles are sold here. The Tesla model 3 and Nissan Leaf 2018 probably won't be in Australia till late 2018 or after that. It's not clear if and when the Renault Zoe will be available in Australia. It seems unlikely the GM Chev Bolt and Volvo all-electric cars will be here soon (even though it seems Volvo is going all-electric from 2019).

So hope my existing car will hang in there while I wait.
