One of my friends has grandchildren in Melbourne and Brisbane. She has visited them using train, bus, car and plane. She may decide to travel with a friend. Would that mean car travel in a 1.4 litre Holden Barina using 10% ethanol comes out as the most environmentally friendly option?

Does anyone have some straightforward 'rule of thumb' statistics to help her make her decision? Mostly she will be traveling alone. Laugh
