I was hoping that Haydn might give a range break down on just what the real range maybe travelling around Canberra with the traffic. It would be interesting to find out what the real world day to day range is for the Bev.
Currently I have a ZERO S on the road here in the ACT and enjoyed getting an electric Motor bike past the rego dudes despite there being the same bikes registered in NSW and VIC.
Learning just what you can and cannot do on an EV is interesting. Having recharge spots is important for what you can do safely.
It would be nice if there where some spots where you can plug in other than the one car spot up at Belconnen that has made the news.
Still it's early days, as for head turning the Zero does get a fair share of head turning as people ask 'is it electric' and 'you can buy them' quotes.
So far I am enjoying the ride, nice to be back on a bike and yes it's different from any other two wheeled vechile that I have sat on. It started out feeling like a big push bike, but now days getting close to 900kms travelled it's definitely a motor cycle… just a very quiet one.

Well, you were noticed and your bike's presence was reported on the CanberraEV email list. Whoever you are, if you are not already known to us, I'm sure you would be very welcome to come along to a CanberraEV meeting and tell all about your bike.
