If you have free time on Sunday 24 October, go and check out the fashion parades of sustainable clothing at the Australian National Botanic Gardens' 40th anniversary open day and garden party. The sustainable clothing has been designed and made by CIT fashion students.

According to an article in the Canberra Times today, the fashion students have sought to improve the sustainability of the clothing they design by employing efficient pattern cutting to use 100% of the fabric, or by using off-cuts for neckpieces and design elements, and by making clothes that need less laundering.

The fashion parades are at 11.30am and 1.20pm.

My sy brother in law and I planning to witness this event unfortunately there are some important matters that we need to attend to. . . well, hope to be able to make it the next time there's an event similar to this.
