The tide seems to be turning, with evidence that Canberran households are reducing their energy use.

According to ActewAGL, electricity and gas consumption by regular households has fallen 1 per cent per year since 2007. Apparently this decline is in line with national trends, which show a historic 2 per
cent a year drop in household electricity use over four years.
