With all the recent political point scoring on the national stage about energy policy, it's great to see that the ACT is leading the transition to renewable energy. It is on track to achieve its target of 100 percent renewables by 2020.
In addition to that target, the ACT is also supporting community scale solar farm projects. As this article in The Guardian shows, community solar farm proponent SolarShare plans to boost the ACT's record on solar energy further with a 1 MW solar farm at Majura adjacent to the existing Mount Majura Solar Farm.
This is a fantastic local project that will engage the ACT community directly in ownership of a solar farm.

SolarShare has been awarded a feed-in-tariff by the ACT Government and so it’s all systems go!
