Yes – by the year 2048 there won't be any; we will have eaten them all, according to a film due for release on June 8 in Australia.

interesting post… well as expected, we are drawing near to the end of the line.
thanks for posting the links by the way for further references. I would be sad if there's a shortage of fish for i love fish rather to eat pork and chicken.

I was interested to find out that there is a Marine Stewardship Council with a website which lists all types of seafood products around the world that have been assessed as being sustainable. You can do a search by country, and there is an extensive list of sustainable seafood products you can buy in Australia.
Also, the Australian Conservation Council has set up new Sustainable Seafood Assessment Criteria to identify which Australian seafood products are sustainable. Check out their interactive map here .
