Had a quick look through this latest CSIRO report and it contains a good summary of the science of climate change, as well as an indication of the impacts of climate change and the possible strategies for mitigating and adapting to those impacts.

In terms of the impact on Canberra and region, the report refers to a projected 10–40% increase in the number of extreme fire danger days in Canberra by 2020 – not something to look forward to!
