I’ve found ClearComfort very effective on smaller windows. It really does make a difference to the amount of cold that comes through the windows in winter and heat that comes through in summer.

I’ve had to do a couple of windows again because the plastic came away from the two-sided tape, but other than that it’s been a good and very cost-effective double-glazing solution.

I haven’t tried it yet on very large windows in the living area.

Has this product got a uValue? The most effective insulation on windows and doors has an air gap. This film can’t be as effective as the real double glazing

Where I have installed it on my windows, there is an air gap of over 1 cm.

I checked the Clear Comfort website and they say the U-Value of a window with Clear Comfort product attached is 3.6, compared with an ordinary clear window glass 4mm thick that has a U-value of 5.5. See their technical page at http://www.clearcomfort.com.au/techinfo.htm

I certainly have found it makes the rooms more comfortable.
