What is Happening:
On 5 December, Minister Simon Corbell launched Weathering the Change Draft Action Plan 2, inviting community comment on the five pathway options to reach the ACT’s greenhouse gas reduction target of a 40% reduction by 2020. A copy of the Media Release can be found here.
A workshop will be held on 14 February from 12-3pm. Reservations are essential. Please email climatechange@act.gov.au to reserve your place by no later than 10 February 2012.
The community is also encouraged to contribute to the discussion at Time to Talk ‘Climate Change’ and via written submissions. The consultation period will run through to 2 March 2012.
