Dialogue Canada – Federation Dialogues Series
Between Polar Bears and Bushfires: Federal Management of Resources and Climate Change in Canada and Australia
Co-hosted by ANU Climate Change Institute and the Canadian High Commission
The proper management of natural resources and the effects of climate change will determine how we live. But how do we manage our valuable resources in a federal system? The climate crisis has put pressure on our governments to allocate responsibility for dealing with climate change. This responsibility is an issue that Professors Barry Smit and Stephen Dovers will address in a thought-provoking dialogue that examines resource and climate management in Canada and Australia.
Dr Norman Abjorensen, a prominent media commentator on Australian politics who teaches Political Science at the ANU Crawford School of Economics and Government will moderate the dialogue.
