The Conservation Council ACT is the peak environmental organisation for the Canberra Region. Our mission is to achieve the highest quality environment for Canberra and the surrounding region.

We represent the interests of community conservation organisations in the region as well as the broader environmental interests of all the citizens of the ACT.

The Conservation Council is active in a number of campaign areas. Our current focus includes biodiversity protection, action on climate change, improved public transport and wise use of water.

The community’s voice for the environment in the Canberra region since 1979.
